QR Igniter
QR Igniter generates GS1-compliant QR codes at fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) scale — the GS1 Digital Link codes you’ll need as retail checkouts move to 2D under GS1 Sunrise 2027, and the data carrier behind EU Digital Product Passports as they phase in from 2027. The interim selector reads each scan and presents the consumer with the destinations they need — customer service, recipes, ingredients, and deposit returns for the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) going live on 1 October 2027 — plus the age verification gates certain products require.

Frequently asked questions
What is QR Igniter?
QR Igniter is a GS1-compatible QR code generator on the Ignited Platform. It creates compliant QR codes at FMCG scale and exposes APIs that connect both to other Igniter products and to enterprise systems such as SAP and industrial label printers.
Is QR Igniter GS1 compliant?
Yes. QR Igniter generates GS1 Digital Link QR codes, encoding the GTIN along with batch or lot number, expiry date and serial number, so codes are compliant and Digital Product Passport-ready.
Can QR Igniter connect to SAP?
Yes. QR Igniter includes connectors that push code data into SAP master data, and a REST API with webhooks so you can automate generation and resolution from your own systems.
Can QR Igniter drive industrial label printers?
Yes. QR Igniter pushes code data out to industrial label printers and to the label-design software used on production lines, which is how codes reach FMCG labels inline.
What is the interim selector in QR Igniter?
The interim selector is a QR Igniter feature that lets one printed code serve every destination. It reads the scan and presents the consumer with the destinations they need — Deposit Return Scheme returns, customer service, recipes, ingredients and more — plus any age verification gate the product requires, without adding extra codes to the pack.
Can I change where a printed QR code points after it has been printed?
Yes. QR Igniter supports dynamic redirects, so you can change what a printed code resolves to after the product is already on the shelf and retarget campaigns without reprinting anything.
Does QR Igniter support the Digital Product Passport?
Yes. QR Igniter produces structured, compliant data that is ready for the Digital Product Passport and other emerging regulation.
How much does QR Igniter cost?
QR Igniter is licensed on the Ignited Platform from £49 per month.
